At Outdoor Pups Club, every hike is calm, intentional, and rooted in care. Here’s how a typical trail day works—from booking to wagging tail drop-off.
Send a request through the website or Instagram. Hikes are private — just your dog (and sometimes Jude) — for a peaceful, focused experience.
You’ll fill out a short form to help me get to know your dog — their personality, leash habits, energy level, any special needs, and emergency contact info. I can send it directly to you, or you can fill it out anytime through the Get Started tab on the website. The liability waiver is a separate form, and you'll find that there too.
If it’s your dog’s first hike, we’ll set up a short morning meet-up so they can get to know me — and Jude if he’ll be tagging along. This helps build trust from the start.
Every pup is different. Trails are chosen based on your dog’s energy, social needs, and experience level — from mellow routes like Memory Grove to more adventurous climbs in Millcreek or Dog Lake.
Every dog wears a Tractive GPS tracking collar, even if they’re leashed. This is part of our core safety routine.
What is Tractive?
Tractive is not a shock collar or e-collar.
It’s a real-time GPS tracking device designed to monitor your dog’s location during hikes.
I can view your dog’s position through an app and receive instant alerts if they stray too far.
Even leashed dogs wear it as an added safety layer—because unexpected things happen in nature, and your dog’s wellbeing is the top priority.
Leash Options
Most hikes are on a long-line leash (20–30ft) to give dogs freedom while keeping control.
Off-leash hikes are only allowed after trust is built, with strong recall, and always with the Tractive tracker securely on.
We hike. We sniff. We move at your dog’s pace. I keep hikes relaxed, water breaks frequent, and the energy low-stress and positive.
Your dog is dropped back home happy, calm, and trail-tired. I do a quick wipe-down if needed and make sure they’re settled before I go.
After the hike, you’ll receive:
A mini report card on how your dog did
Photos from the trail (usually featuring some floppy ears and big smiles)
Notes on their mood, behavior, and any fun highlights
Built on Care, Not Volume
Outdoor Pups Club isn’t about squeezing in as many dogs as possible. It’s about quality time, safety, and letting dogs experience the outdoors the way they were meant to—freely, joyfully, and with someone who truly sees them.
