Each hike includes pick-up, a 1.5–2 hour trail adventure with my dog and one other dog. We take water/snack breaks, practice good leash manners, and enjoy the outdoors. Afterward, I send a “trail report” with a few photos and an update about your dog’s hike.
I hike with just one dog at a time — sometimes alongside my own dog, Jude. I keep things small and simple so your pup gets my full attention, and the hike stays safe and enjoyable.
Jude is gentle and well-socialized, but he tires out quickly, so he may not always join us. If I feel that your dog isn’t fully comfortable with Jude or needs one-on-one time, I’ll leave him at home and focus just on your pup.
My goal is always to make sure each hike is a positive experience, tailored to your dog’s comfort and needs.
Friendly, leash-trained dogs who are comfortable with one other dog and able to hike for 1–2 hours. If your dog is new to hiking or needs a slower pace, I’m happy to accommodate!
I keep all dogs on-leash or on a long line (15 ft) for safety. In some cases, if you provide written permission and your dog has proven strong recall, I may allow limited off-leash time — but only in safe, designated areas and when I feel confident in your dog’s behavior and responsiveness.
Even during on-leash moments, your dog will always wear a GPS tracking collar (Tractive), which allows me to monitor their location in real time. This collar is not a shock or e-collar — it’s a humane, lightweight device used purely for safety and peace of mind.
Off-leash time is never guaranteed and is always based on trail rules, weather conditions, and how well your dog responds to cues. My top priority is making sure your dog is safe and comes home tired, happy, and injury-free.
Totally okay! I use positive reinforcement and gentle handling. Each hike helps build better trail manners over time. I’ll always give you honest feedback about how your pup did.
I require at least 24 hours’ notice for any changes to a scheduled hike. While cancellations within 24 hours aren’t refundable, I’m happy to reschedule your hike for another day when possible.
Because I reserve that time just for your dog, last-minute cancellations without rescheduling may result in a 50% charge.
Thanks for understanding — this helps me plan safe, thoughtful adventures for every pup!
Yes! I offer a short 15-minute meet-and-greet before your dog’s first hike. It’s a chance for us all to connect and make sure it’s a good fit.
I bring water, a first aid kit, and poop bags. I always scout trails in advance, follow leash laws, and monitor for signs of fatigue or stress.
Yes, unless it’s unsafe (ice, extreme heat, storms). In winter I bring towels, adjust trail choices, and keep hikes shorter if needed.
Yes! I’m certified in Pet CPR & First Aid, and I’ve spent many hours studying dog behavior and training, especially through hands-on experience with my own dog. I’ve also completed rattlesnake aversion training, so I’m familiar with how to recognize and respond to potential wildlife dangers on trail.
From leash reactivity to recall to trail safety, I’m always learning and growing so your dog is in safe, capable, and compassionate hands during every adventure.
